The kitchen is generally positioned at the back of the house. However, this trend is now shifting. Currently, more house construction uses the concept of placing the kitchen close to the family room for the reason that it is more exposed.
Another reason is so that the kitchen always looks neat and pleasing to the eye. Therefore, storage is also a consideration and is a solution to the habit of making a messy kitchen look neat.
Adapted to needs and habits
Storage of goods in the kitchen is required to remain neat. This will bring a nice and comfortable atmosphere. Of course, you don’t just need to organize it, everything in the kitchen also needs to be adjusted to suit your needs.
This also explains the importance of design which is part of storage planning which really needs to be adjusted to Moms’ habits and needs while in the kitchen.
Storage Sharing
As is well known and commonly applied, storage in the kitchen is divided into 3 parts, namely storage for wet goods, dry goods, and equipment that is only taken out when needed for certain events , for example large family events that require large quantities of spoons and plates.
Wet storage is used to store food ingredients, while dry storage is a place to store cooking equipment and utensils.
Design Implementer
Talking about design, Moms have to choose whether they want to use open or closed storage. Of course, both have their respective advantages and disadvantages.
Selecting closed storage usually places more emphasis on functionality. All equipment looks neat because it is stored in place. However, the drawback is that the design looks monotonous and stiff.
If you use open storage it will look more aesthetic. The kitchen will be exposed to collectibles that Moms has. So, to avoid dusty items, Moms just need to use a transparent glass lid.
So, that’s Moms’ idea for making the kitchen tidier by designing 3 storage areas that are arranged according to the user’s needs. Hopefully inspired 🙂
